Help-Portrait Madison 2013 Event
I first heard about Help-Portrait over a year ago. Every year on the second Saturday in December photographers and other volunteers from all over the world work together in their communities to organize and offer free portrait sessions for people in need. I was immediately drawn to the idea and offered my help. Last Saturday I had an opportunity to contribute my time at The River Food Pantry and felt fulfilled in the process – not only because I was able to help families in need, but also to connect with other Madison area photographers and other great people volunteering for the event who were contributing their time and talents as well. A local photographer Amandalynn Jones is a power engine behind Help-Portrait Madison event. Thanks to her big heart and awesome organization skills 585 people (and 14 dogs!) will receive a beautiful gift of family portraits this Holiday season. These are the numbers just from the last weekend. This week there will be another Help-Portrait Madison event at Middleton Outreach Ministry where even more families will benefit from this worldwide movement of passion 🙂 Below are some behind-the scenes shots of the wonderful volunteers and the organizers in action. Enjoy!

Beautiful Ania!
Thank you Jill! It was a very joyful event. For a lot of the people this was their first ever family portrait so it felt even more special 🙂
Thanks Ryan! It was like a “hunt” for perfect moments 🙂 Fun!
