Best of 2011 Contest – Vote For Your Favorite Photo – Prairie du Sac, WI Photographer

When I thought about what to write about for my first blog post in 2012, I had an idea to make it into a contest. So here we go…!

Let’s go back to 2011 and enjoy it for a little longer… Here are my favorite images from all the weddings, family and senior sessions that I had a pleasure to capture last year. It was almost an impossible task to pick just one photograph from each session. If I had to do it again my choices would probably be different, but here in this post are my first impressions of favorites.

Now, it’s your turn and the fun part – the best of Ania Fields Photo Art 2011 contest.

Who wins?

Client(s) with the image receiving the most votes.

What is the prize?

One 16×20 float wrap using an image of their choice taken from last year’s session or wedding.

How to vote for your favorite photo?

1. You can vote for ONE image only.

2. Choose your favorite photo below (one and only!) and vote for it by leaving a comment below this post (just click on “leave the comment” link on the bottom under the last photo). In the comment box share the number of your favorite photo AND ALSO write why you like it most.

3. Bonus vote: You can have one extra vote for the same image. To receive it, just go to my Facebook Page and “like” it, to become a fan (if you haven’t done it yet :-) ) Then go to the “Best of 2011 Contest” photo gallery and click “like” on the same ONE image you chose in the blog. Votes on Facebook will count only from people who both “like” Ania Fields Photo Art business page AND ALSO left a comment on the blog.

4. Voting closes on Sunday January 15th, 2012 at midnight CST

Please follow the rules above so that your votes count and share this contest with family and friends. I will do my best to validate and tally up all the votes correctly and will announce the winner here on the blog. Thank you for all your support and trust in 2011. Wishing you the most wonderful 2012,  hopefully we’ll have a chance to enjoy it together :-)

Kyle – Outdoor Senior Portraits, Prairie du Sac WI Photographer

Kyle is an outdoor guy. He took me to his very special place for senior pictures – his Grandpa’s property on Wisconsin River. He loves to spend most of his time there exploring, hunting, fishing, maintaining the property or just hanging out. His Mom shared that if he could, he would probably move in somewhere there :-) He did seem to know every path, clearing and fallen log. His family decided to take family portraits at the same time. I was looking forward to this session, because it meant I would be able to see his sister again, whose senior portraits I had the pleasure of taking four years ago. She is in her senior year in college now and on her way to become a serious fresh water scientist. Thank you for sharing your favorite spots with me, Kyle! Here are some sneak peeks for you!

Nick – Senior Photos, Lodi WI

Nick just moved to Lodi, WI and last month started his senior year at Lodi High School. So far the experience has been great for him and he really appreciates the personal attention and each student gets here as well as a very friendly environment. He shared that it wasn’t like that in his previous Chicago area high school which had had thousands of students in each grade. Enjoy your senior year in Wisconsin, Nick! I wish you many strong friendships.

Jed – Senior Portraits, Lodi WI

I met with Jed and his family in Lodi, WI and we explored the town together looking for the best photo spots. It was the first time for me working there and I always love the challenge that a new location brings. It turned out that there were quite a few perfect backgrounds for Jed’s senior photos and we also found a couple for his family’s portraits. He was fun to work with and up for anything. Enjoy your senior year Jed! Here are some sneak peeks…

Sheldon – Sauk Prairie Senior 2012

When I first met with Sheldon and his family the weather didn’t collaborate and it started to rain exactly when they arrived for a session. Since this was the only day in the nearest future when they all were able to be together we didn’t give up and shot some family portraits anyway in the rain. If you look closely you can probably see the rain drops in the images. The clouds didn’t move away, just the opposite – it started to rain harder so we decided to meet on a different day for Sheldon’s senior portraits. And we did. And the weather then was just perfect. Sheldon suggested a hike in Devil’s Lake and I am always up for it :-) The rocks as a background were very inspiring. Here are some sneak peeks…

Mollie – Sauk Prairie Senior 2012

Mollie was the first senior client who took me downtown in our town for a session. It was fun to look for good spots and we found quite a few cool urban backgrounds. Mollie is an avid reader (as anybody who works at the library should be :-) ), so after downtown we made a quick stop at her house for a photo with a pile of her favorite books. We finished her senior session at Devil’s Lake and grabbed a few family shots there as well. Here is a sneak!

Heather – Senior Photographer, Madison WI

Heather is beautiful and radiating with warm and positive energy. She just started her senior year at Edgewood High School in Madison. I met her and her family at their house and we did some quick shots in her favorite reading nook/swing in the backyard. Then we moved to a nearby park to continue her senior session and also to create a few family portraits. It was nice to watch how close Heather and her younger brother are with each other. We grabbed a couple of shots of them together, too.  I sure hope my kids will stay this close when they grow older, as well :-)  Great meeting you Heather! Enjoy your senior year and these sneak peeks!

Aabhas – Senior Pictures, Madison WI

Seniors lined up on the blog this week!  Four sessions scheduled :-) Aabhas is in his senior year at James Madison Memorial High School in Madison, WI and was the first one that I had a pleasure to photograph. His mom and girlfriend came along with him for his session and I grabbed a couple of shots with them, too. We had a great time shooting in one of Middleton parks. Here are some of my favorites…

Yazmin – Sauk Prairie Class of 2012, Senior Portraits

Senior shoots season :-) Last week I had a fun senior session with Yazmin (who is a student at Sauk Prairie High School) and Sauk City in the background. It was the first time I shot there since they finished the bike path along the river. We started in the back alleys and then moved into the tall grasses by the river. So beautiful there. Here are a few of my favorites :-)

Natalie – Outdoor Senior Portraits, Madison WI

Soon Natalie is going to be a senior in one of Madison’s high schools. Since she loves outdoors she chose Devil’s Lake, one of my favorite locations,  for her senior session. We met there on one perfect summer day and had some photo fun. We started with some family shots and then focused on Natalie’s senior portraits.  Natalie looked gorgeous in her cute dress, but don’t take my word for it, see for yourself. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!
