It’s time for Kate and Jeff’s Union South weeding photos on the blog today! It was a rainy Saturday in early October but even though the weather was somewhat gloomy – both bride and groom, as well as their wedding party and family, were full of smiles and joy. Everybody braved the elements and just went with the flow. The day started at Union South with some getting ready photos. Kate’s bridesmaids helped her look stunning and Jeff had his groomsmen help him with his finishing touches…
It started to sprinkle when we did the first look photos, and then it was raining pretty hard and got windy just in time for the portraits. We had some cute umbrellas ready just in case and they turned out to be very useful as well as great props for photos. Fortunately Union South has quite a few covered areas that offered great backdrops and some protection from the elements 🙂
Shooting in the rain is a challenge but we were up for it. I think it forces you to really work smart and get even more creative. How cute are these photos? Love all the happy smiles!
After rainy portraits it was time to drive to the church for the ceremony.

The skies cleared out just in time for the family portraits after the ceremony.
And before it started to rain again we had just enough dry time to stop at Owen Park for a few more bride and groom shots, this time without the umbrellas 🙂
When we got back to Union South for the reception the rain picked up again. Fortunately by then everybody was dry and safe and ready to party!
Working with Kate and Jeff has been a breeze and and I wish them the very best in all their years to come. Congrats to the newlyweds!!
