Sauk Prairie Dancing With The Stars – River Arts Inc. Fundraiser

Sauk Prairie Dancing with the Stars – one of the most anticipated local events – took place last Saturday at River Arts Center. Eight of Sauk Prairie’s celebrities were competing for the “Mirror Ball Trophy” in this fun new fundraiser for River Arts Inc. Each celebrity was paired with a professional ballroom dancer and had about a year to practice their dancing skills to win the show. The winner was chosen by a panel of judges and the audience who had a chance to vote for their favorites.

The show started with Diane Seder, Executive Vice President of Milwaukee Valve, who performed a fiery cha-cha dance with her partner Joshua Gilchrist.

John Bachhuber, of McFarlanes’, showed off his dance moves by performing a slow and romantic rumba with Ruthann Corrao.

Roxi MaierSenior Vice President at Bank of Prairie du Sac, entertained the audience with a hot and seductive salsa danced with her pro partner AJ Juarez.

Matthew Brennan from Sauk Prairie School District,  showcased his dance moves in an interpretive waltz performed with Samantha Trinidad.

Lea Culver, Co-Founder and VIP Foundation Executive Director of Culver’s, flowed and twirled gracefully across the dance floor alongside pro Joshua Gilchrist in a foxtrot.

Greg Mauch from Ballweg: Family of Dealerships, showing off his rhythmic dance steps in an East Coast Swing with Ruthann Corrao.

Emily Jean Udelhofen, Owner of EJ Movement, accompanied by AJ Juarez, energized the audience with lots of flicks and kicks in their lively jive.

Lt. Travis Hilliard from Sauk Prairie Police Department, owned the dance floor with Samantha Trinidad in their passionate and energetic salsa performance.

The second half of the show showcased other community groups dancing as well as some professional dancers doing their own numbers.

It was a close race but after counting all the votes, Tywana German, Executive Director of Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce announced Matthew Brennan as the winner of the evening show. Congratulations on scoring the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy! It was wonderful to cheer on our local stars and experience all those unknown talents. This was definitely a fun and memorable evening and I’m sure our community will be looking forward to the next year’s event!
