Lea and I have known each other virtually for almost a year. She’s a fellow photographer from California whom I met through a professional online course. After having weekly accountability video chats for so many months we were both excited when an opportunity showed up for me to visit her in California in January.

We spent a day together exploring beautiful Orange County and taking branding portraits of each other whenever we spotted a great light or location. Warmth, sun, ocean, old architecture and beautiful nature were all so inspiring! Southern California looks so different than Wisconsin in January that I was literally seeing perfect photo ops almost every few steps. Photographers are always behind the camera, and as a result we usually don’t have many photos of ourselves. It was a great experience for both of us to be a model for a day. And we’ll now have branding images to use online for our own brands!

Thanks Lea for an awesome day! You’re a bright and shiny soul and I loved hanging out with you in person! Now it’s your turn to come and visit Midwest, but probably not in January 😉
