Yuliya and Philip – Maternity and Newborn Portraits, Prairie du Sac WI Photographer
I was thrilled when Yuliya asked me to create maternity portraits for her. I think that pregnant tummies are absolutely beautiful, even more so when you realize that they carry a new human being inside. I wanted of course to capture the amazing shape but also the emotions and love that the parents and his big sister were pouring onto the baby even though he was still inside his mommy’s tummy. A month later we met again. Baby Philip was born and it was time for his first newborn portraits. I loved capturing the strong connection he has with his mommy. And even though the session happened a week later than we planned (and a week at this early age can make a big difference and a baby may grow out of a newborn stage) we were still able to capture a few of those sweet newborn sleepy shots.
