Jason is in his senior year at Middleton High School. When he was five he wanted to be an astrophysicist but he’s not so sure about it anymore and is still working on figuring out what passion to follow after graduation. We drove around Middleton to look for best spots for his senior pictures and were able to find some great nature as well as urban backgrounds. Jason’s little sisters came along for his senior session and I was able to capture a few fun moments of them together. I also convinced his mom to jump into one of the photos and Jason’s Dad was later very grateful for that – it was a perfect portrait for his office desk 🙂 Have a great senior year, Jason! (and thanks for waking up early on a Sunday morning to finish your session :))
And here are a few shots with Jason’s little sisters and even one with his Mom. The girls were so much fun to photograph. 🙂

Global Association of Holistic Psychotherapy and Coaching Live Workshop – Madison Event Photographer
Events
Global Association Of Holistic Psychotherapy and Coaching helps all kinds of holistic practitioners to grow personally while supporting them in developing a thriving holistic business. Last weekend I put on my “Madison event photographer” hat and captured their live 3-day business workshop delivered at The Fluno Center by the founder and president of GAHP, Shelly Riutta. As you may know, I am very passionate about everything holistic, so it was a great experience to spend a weekend among holistic therapists, energy healers, coaches and health practitioners. It was also interesting to see how they have similar challenges to photographers (and possibly a long list of other businesses) in growing their businesses. What Shelley was teaching could easily be applied to any service oriented industry, and this thought was validated when I learned that one of the participants was an electrician! 🙂 Below are some photos from the award ceremony and the GAHP Live Event. Enjoy!

BRIDAL SALONS: Moments to Cherish Bridals
FLORIST: Garden Laurels by Donna Sager
CAKE ARTIST: Tina K Cakes
BAND/DJ: Who Knew Entertainment
BEAUTY: ANiU Salon and Spa
It was a beautiful but also very hot and humid day. I met Cori at her bridal suite at The House on the Rock Resort and we started with some getting ready photos. I was nicely surprised how clean and tidy the girls’ room was! It doesn’t happen often that I don’t have to move anything to get a cleaner background. 🙂 When the bride was dressed and ready I went to see the guys to capture a few finishing shots of Joe getting ready (their room needed some attention :)). After that was the first look and then we headed to The Wintergreen Lodge, a beautiful venue sitting on the bluff overlooking the Wisconsin River, where the ceremony and reception were taking place. Before the guests arrived we had time for some bride and groom portraits as well as fun wedding party pics. The ceremony on the terrace was full of emotions, Corinne and Joe exchanged very personal vows and even though the guests were almost melting in the hot sun they were all very moved as well. After the ceremony everybody quickly went inside to cool down and to party! Cori and Joe, it was a pleasure to capture and be part of your wedding day. I wish you a lifetime of happiness, love and laughter!

LOCATION: Sauk City, WI Wedding
CEREMONY: St Aloysius Church
Jacyntha and Jeff wanted to have an August wedding. Since they live in Oklahoma they knew that the temperatures in Tulsa might reach high 90-ties at the end of summer. Therefore instead of having it locally they decided to travel to beautiful and green Wisconsin and combine a short extended family vacation in Wisconsin Dells with an intimate ceremony at St Aloysius church in Sauk City. I was really surprised when they shared that they’ve never been here before but they just thought that it’s a perfect place to be married. You don’t hear that a lot. 🙂 All 13 guests, just the closest family, traveled from different southern states to Wisconsin to witness Jacyntha and Jeff’s Sauk City wedding. I loved those few tender moments I was able to document before the ceremony between Jacyntha and her Mom and Dad. You can see below how moved they were and how happy for their daughter, so special… After the ceremony and some family photos, we went for a walk along the Wisconsin River to capture beautiful bride and groom portraits. Jacyntha and Jeff, thank you for having me capture this special day. You are kind, warm and beautiful people and I’m happy our paths crossed. I wish you all the best in the years ahead!

Beverly and Ray – Extended Family Photos – Wisconsin Dells Photographer
Extended Families , Families
Wisconsin Dells in a perfect location for summer family reunions. And family reunions offer a perfect opportunity for extended family photos. Beverly contacted me because her family was going to get together and spend a week at Spring Brook Resort. Since they all live in different parts of the country and don’t see each other often it was even more important to capture everyone together. We met at the resort, found a perfect spot with beautiful light and background and started with a few group shots, but we didn’t stop there… There were so many other different configurations to cover – grandparents together, grandchildren, adult siblings, individual families, the list went on… Choosing clothes is very important for extended family portraits and I love how nicely coordinated their outfits were. All the pieces are not identical, but they come together to create a beautiful image. Below is a sample of their family reunion photos. Enjoy!

LOCATION: Downtown Madison WI wedding
CEREMONY: Allen Centennial Gardens, University of Wisconsin, Madison
Lea and Jeff had a very sweet and intimate Allen Centennial Gardens wedding. With just the closest family and friends present they exchanged vows in the beautiful Wisconsin Woodlands part of the garden. After a lovely outdoor ceremony everybody got onto the bus and went for a ride around the UW campus, State Street and the Capitol — stopping at several thoughtfully chosen locations. Lea and Jeff’s story started on the UW Madison campus and they wanted to capture some of their favorite Madison spots on their wedding photos. Wedding guests enjoyed the ride in air conditioned comfort, while Bride and Groom were jumping on and off the bus and walking around downtown Madison in search of perfect photo locations. In fact, we hiked so much that in the end Lea decided to ditch her gorgeous and sassy blue wedding shoes and instead walked gracefully barefoot. Lea and Jeff, thank you so much for having me be part of your big day. I wish you both the very best and know that this coming year – when circumstances keep you apart – will pass quickly and you will enjoy many more happy years to come!
