Each year the Association of Fundraising Professionals honors individuals, groups, organizations and businesses who, through their hard work and dedication, have enhanced philanthropy, their communities and the world. National Philanthropy Day is a special day set aside in November to promote philanthropy and recognize people who are inspiring change through their significant impact. Last Friday I had an opportunity to document National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon held at Overture Center in Madison, an event which honored the greater Madison area’s top philanthropists, volunteers and professionals. Almost 400 people came to celebrate the inspiring power of philanthropy, make connections and be inspired by this year’s honorees who truly represent the generous spirit that makes Madison a better place to live and work.
