Not so long ago, on one of the first really HOT days early this summer, I met with Missy and Josh for their engagement session. The summer went fast, as it always does 🙂 and last Saturday I had a chance to meet them again and document their House on the Rock wedding. And what a perfect day it was – sun, breeze, just right temperature, family, lots of friends and an ideal setting among the rolling hills and bluffs of the Wisconsin River Valley at House on the Rock Resort in Spring Green, WI. Missy shared that she didn’t sleep much the night before, but she looked absolutely stunning anyway. Missy and Josh set some time before the ceremony for “the first look” photos. There are many benefits to doing this. Being able to do your portraits and even group shots before the ceremony can make the wedding day so much more relaxed. It certainly worked for them. You could almost see all her anxiety melt when Josh embraced her into his arms. After a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the golf course the reception at the Wintergreen Lodge followed.
