Reed and Family – Extended Family Portraits, Baraboo WI Photographer

Reed just celebrated his first birthday! His Grandma invited me to his house to capture him at this milestone age. Since everybody was there for his party it was also a great opportunity to create some extended family portraits. We were hoping that an unusually warm weather will last until the day of our session and allow us to have some outdoor fun. But it didn’t, so when I arrived to their house on one freezing January morning  we decided to stay indoors. The house was bright and with some furniture moved aside one wall turned into a perfect portrait background. Reed is not walking yet, but he is FAST. Together with his 3-year-old brother they did their best to challenge my chasing skills. Here are a few sneak peeks of what I was able to capture :-) Happy Birthday, Reed!

Best of 2011 Contest – Vote For Your Favorite Photo – Prairie du Sac, WI Photographer

When I thought about what to write about for my first blog post in 2012, I had an idea to make it into a contest. So here we go…!

Let’s go back to 2011 and enjoy it for a little longer… Here are my favorite images from all the weddings, family and senior sessions that I had a pleasure to capture last year. It was almost an impossible task to pick just one photograph from each session. If I had to do it again my choices would probably be different, but here in this post are my first impressions of favorites.

Now, it’s your turn and the fun part – the best of Ania Fields Photo Art 2011 contest.

Who wins?

Client(s) with the image receiving the most votes.

What is the prize?

One 16×20 float wrap using an image of their choice taken from last year’s session or wedding.

How to vote for your favorite photo?

1. You can vote for ONE image only.

2. Choose your favorite photo below (one and only!) and vote for it by leaving a comment below this post (just click on “leave the comment” link on the bottom under the last photo). In the comment box share the number of your favorite photo AND ALSO write why you like it most.

3. Bonus vote: You can have one extra vote for the same image. To receive it, just go to my Facebook Page and “like” it, to become a fan (if you haven’t done it yet :-) ) Then go to the “Best of 2011 Contest” photo gallery and click “like” on the same ONE image you chose in the blog. Votes on Facebook will count only from people who both “like” Ania Fields Photo Art business page AND ALSO left a comment on the blog.

4. Voting closes on Sunday January 15th, 2012 at midnight CST

Please follow the rules above so that your votes count and share this contest with family and friends. I will do my best to validate and tally up all the votes correctly and will announce the winner here on the blog. Thank you for all your support and trust in 2011. Wishing you the most wonderful 2012,  hopefully we’ll have a chance to enjoy it together :-)

Shelley and Shawn – Family Photography, Madison WI

I met with Shelley, Shawn and their kids at a local county park for their session. It was a new place for them and I hope they liked it enough to come again in the future and explore some more (or in winter for some sledding fun). Perfect fall weather, beautiful setting and another great family – perfect combination for beautiful fall portraits. Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy (and sorry for a delay in this sneak peek :-) )!

Melanie and Ryan – Devil’s Lake Family Portraits, Sauk Prairie WI Photographer

Melanie and Ryan have three sweet girls, each one with a beautiful smile. The youngest is learning to walk right now; and she glows with joy when somebody gives her a hand to help with those first steps. She was deep in leaves up to her knees but it didn’t bother her at all, as long as she could practice her new skill. Sitting in the leaves didn’t seem as fun for her  though. Her big sisters were eager to hold her hands and provide needed support. They looked sooo cute in coordinated outfits :-) See for yourself…

Jackie and Bob – Fall Family Portraits, Baraboo WI Photographer

Another fun session in Devil’s Lake State Park with another wonderful family. It was a windy day with leaves (and hair) blowing all over, but it’s always beautiful there for family portraits. Jackie, Bob and their kids were so full of good energy and smiles - it was a joy to work with them. I feel so lucky to be able to capture love, warmth, connection that families share. And this month I got plenty of opportunities for doing just that :-) Here are the sneak peeks…

Jill and Wes – Outdoor Family Portraits, Prairie du Sac, WI Photographer

It was a warm and sunny day with fall colors at their peak – ideal combination for family sessions. I met with Wes and Jill’s family at Devil’s Lake State Park, one of my favorite places for hiking and shooting. Jill shared that they never had family portraits done so I felt really honored to create some for them. They are one very photogenic family :-) See for yourselves…

Marsha and Rodney – Extended Family Session, Sauk Prairie WI Photographer

Marsha and Rodney live at the edge of the woods in the Baraboo Range area. We first planned to just meet at their house and then go to a nearby state park for their session but it turned out that the place was just as perfect location so we stayed. The woods and the setting sun created a wonderful backdrop for family portraits. It was the first time when they had all three generations photographed together. Their granddaughters liked playing with the leaves and even the baby seemed to enjoy a leaf nest that her dad created for her :-) Thank you for inviting me to capture your beautiful family.

Alexis and Mark – Outdoor Family Portraits, Middleton WI

More outdoor family portraits on the blog… This was the third time that I met with Alexis and Mark’s family, and one of my very few late morning sessions. It seems though that the light in October is beautiful anytime of the day and Pheasant Branch Conservancy in Middleton WI where we met was so pretty with lots of great spots. I actually came back there the next day for a bike ride with my own family… The boys were fun to work with, so full of energy and constantly on the run exploring everything. I admit it was a little challenging to stop them for family portraits but we did manage to catch a few :-) I had fun chasing them around and capturing the joy of being outdoors in the morning sun. Here come the sneak peeks…

Denise and Jeremy – Fall Family Portraits, Middleton WI Photographer

Fall is officially here and with it the best season for beautiful outdoor family portraits. You can expect to see many family sessions here on the blog in the coming weeks. Let’s start with Denise and Jeremy’s; I love to document how kids grow and this was the third time I had a pleasure to photograph their family (you can see the last year’s session here). I was excited to see them again this year. We met at a local county park and had some fun following their son’s lead in hiking and exploring the place. I always enjoy capturing his personality. Now full of smiles, as an outgoing and curious four-year-old, he didn’t let us stop for a moment :-) Thank you for coming back! Now off to some sneak peeks…
